Although Cades Cove is a popular place to visit in your car, it is also a great place to take the kids on a bike ride. From mid-May until mid-September, Cades Cove Loop Road is closed to cars until 10 AM on Wednesday and Saturday. If you can’t bring your own bicycles, you can rent them at the Cades Cove Bike Rental Shop. The full loop is 11 miles although you can take one that is four miles and another that is eight, depending on where you enter and exit the loop.
