The Junior Ranger Program allows children to gain an understanding of ecology, environment and wildlife. They are encouraged to read and learn in order to gain a better understanding of the world around them. Each ranger receives a list of activities and, as they complete them, earn a badge. They can participate in activities like GPS orienteering hikes, blacksmithing, wildlife viewing or making an old-fashioned mountain toy, to name a few.
