The Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade includes marching bands, floats, helium balloons, performers and much more to delight the crowd lining the streets. Held in early December, the parade celebrates the season, lasting about an hour. Anyone who wants to view the parade needs to arrive on the Parkway early to get a good spot. The parade is then broadcast on local television on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Grand Marshall’s of the parade have included luminaries such as the Van Zandt Brothers, founders of the band Lynyrd Skynrd.
