Visit the highest point in the Great Smoky Mountains at Clingman’s Dome. There is an observation tower that offers spectacular views of the mountains. On clear days, you can see for more than 100 miles. Keep in mind that the temperature can be much cooler at the dome, so you may want to bring a jacket. The trail is paved but steep in some areas.
