The only riding stables authorized in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Cades Cove offers guided trail rides, giving you a unique way to explore the national park. Riding groups are small, with a limit of nine riders, and designed for all levels of riding experience. The horses have been hand-picked for their calm temperament and willingness to please. Horses are matched to each rider’s skill level, so everyone feels comfortable as they enjoy the park on horseback. The rides are about an hour in length and safety helmets are provided. Children under 15 are required to wear a helmet. Cades Cove Riding Stable is open March 6 through November 30 from 9 AM to 4:30 PM.
