There is nothing like sleeping in the wild with nothing above you but the stars. There are many areas in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park where you can go backcountry camping. Reservations are just $4 per person with a maximum fee of $20. Most campsites do not allow you to stay more than three nights and it is important to follow all food storage regulations. However, curling up with your significant other and looking at the star-filled sky will make it all worth it.
