There, you will find more than 26 unique shopping options, galleries and restaurants in what appears to be a European village. In 1965, two families purchased the land where The Village now sits and decided to do some research before making any decisions about what to do with it. The two families were travelers and as they visited other areas of the world, they began to develop an idea of what they wanted. The buildings were constructed using reclaimed materials salvaged from homes, churches and buildings scheduled for demolition. The roofing slates, antique trim moldings, handmade bricks, heavy carved doors and gas lighting fixtures create an Old World charm in this fun shopping center. Visit the Day Hiker, Candle Cottage, Misty Mountain Soap Company, The Honey Pot, the Lazy One, God’s Corner and more. The Village is open every day from 10 AM to 10 PM from June to October.
