Phenology is the study of reoccurring events in a life cycle caused by environmental factors. The NEON Phenocam, operated by the University of New Hampshire in the Great Smoky Mountains is designed to gain an understanding of how seasonal events impact the lifecycles of various plants and animals. The webcam provides a view of the national park, overlooking trees and across mountain ridges.
